Day 6 Vilanova to Bot

We made an early start as we wanted to cover the 108 km to the next campsite at the unfortunately named Bot. It was a spectacular day of riding with amazing views all the way. In the first 50km probably only 20 cars passed us. We were just descending to the Ebre Valley when we came across a sign saying (in Catalan) "road closed for works". After much debate, as we were still in the mountains and we feared a landslide might have blocked it, we
decided to proceed and after about 3km came across a digger and a lorry completely blocking the road and clearing a big pile of rocks. We waited about 20 mins and eventually they let us through, but we received a huge tirade of (I suspect) expletives that I'm glad to say I didn't understand. We were very glad not to have had to make a big detour in this hilly terrain. The day ended on the amazing Via Verda Terra Alta with its long tunnels and interesting rock formations. We're camping at the campsite at Bot, just by the Via and were very pleased to find the campsite restaurant serving pizzas when we arrived at 8.30pm.
