We are quite exhausted from our three weeks of cycling over very hilly terrain and yesterday afternoon was particularly unpleasant. Our slow progress due to horrendous weather has set us back a bit on our hoped-for schedule (We do have a bus to catch at the end of all this...). Pizarra is on a railway line and has a station. We haven't seen many of those in the last three weeks! We had realised that today wouldn't be a day to make up lost time as it involved a monster climb of over 1000m. I did little research online and found that one train a day went from Pizarra to Ronda - at 10.29, arriving at 11.54. It was just perfect, saving 75km and 1000m climbing. We would have time to look around Ronda and then cycle 35km to the campsite at Olvera, putting us right back on schedule. Mephistopheles won, the temptation was too great and we have no regrets. It's been a lovely day!

Climbing towards Olvera
The ground is the hardest we have yet found. Note the boulders instead of pegs.
Hope it doesn't get windy in the night!
Pizarra to Olvera - train, then 40km and 300m ascent.
