Day 25 Much needed rest day in Seville

We had a leisurely breakfast for a change and did some washing, then headed off to catch the bus into Seville. Of course we enjoyed wandering around, but spent most of the day in the Alcazar with its splendid Mujedar palace and gardens.
How is it that this was built after the reconquista, but by Arabs, Christians and Jews in total harmony? This is evident in the decoration which shows the symbols of  Ferdinand and Isabella from Castile and León, a castle and a lion. Immediately adjacent will be Arabic writing referring to Allah and the Jewish star of David.

We'll be heading north tomorrow - a new experience on this trip!

Seville 0km, 0m ascent.
